Senior Validation Engineer

, in partnership with an automotive technology organization, is seeking a skilled Senior Validation Engineer
. This role is responsible for developing and executing design verification and validation test plans, ensuring electronic control units meet module-level requirements under environmental stress conditions, and driving reliability for production-ready vehicle electronics.

Job Duties:

• Develop detailed design verification and validation (DVP&R, PVP&R) test plans in collaboration with reliability and design teams
• Lead execution of validation test plans aligned to program milestones and production targets
• Own test coverage reporting, results analysis, and documentation of validation activities
• Provide early feedback to design engineers on design decisions and testability considerations
• Create and present Design for Testability (DFT) reports for ECU hardware designs
• Plan and oversee durability, electrical, and functional component-level testing of ECUs
• Coordinate lab resources and manage validation schedules to communicate status across cross-functional teams
• Lead root cause investigations of non-compliant test results using structured data analysis methods

Skills & Experience

Required:

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
• 5+ years of experience in electronics characterization and validation testing
• Hands-on experience with design verification and validation methodologies
• Experience operating lab instrumentation, including oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, and digital multimeters
• Experience conducting testing in thermal chambers and vibration environments
• Proficiency in data analysis and report generation using Python
• Experience validating automotive electronic control units (ECUs)
• Knowledge of environmental stress testing, including thermal cycling, shock, vibration, humidity, and fault injection
• Familiarity with test coverage analysis and traceability to module-level requirements
• Experience supporting validation efforts for high-volume production programs
