Principal Environmental Geologist or Engineer
Irvine, California
Base pay range$/yr - $/yr
About the RoleThe successful candidate will act as the Irvine Division’s technical lead and be instrumental in helping grow Ninyo & Moore’s Environmental consulting business. This position is for a candidate who enjoys performing both business development and technical consulting activities. We are looking for a professional who has a strong technical reputation in the field, enjoys and is great at promoting that reputation and the company behind it.
Responsibilities- Perform business development and technical consulting activities.
- Maintain strong relationships with state and local regulatory agencies.
- Conduct NEPA/CEQA & EIR activities.
- Perform Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
- Oversee Environmental Remediation and Emergency Construction Support for Contaminated Sites.
- Address environmental issues (air, waste water, hazardous waste).
- Attend shortlist/interview presentations for major environmental clients.
- Act as an Expert Witness.
- BS Degree in Geology, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
- California PG, PE, or GE license required.
- Results-driven and self-motivated CA licensed professional geologist or engineer (PE or PG) with 15+ years of experience preferably with an environmental engineering services consulting firm.
- NEPA/CEQA & EIR experience.
- Strong relationships with state and local regulatory agencies.
- Expertise in Regulatory Compliance.
- Ability to perform as an Expert Witness.
- Senior management level presentation and negotiation skills.
- Business development and client services focus.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to act as the client manager for key clients or service areas.
- Strong technical reviewer and mentor for junior technical personnel.
- Basic computer skills, with experience in Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
