Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Test Technician with experience in aerospace repair and testing to support troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair activities for returned electronic units and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronic circuit testing, root cause analysis, and documentation within a repair or maintenance environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform open-box troubleshooting to identify malfunctioning circuit board components.
  • Conduct thermal and vibration testing with oscilloscope monitoring on targeted data lines.
  • Execute diagnostic testing and performance verification on aerospace modules and systems.
  • Prepare and submit Engineering Investigation Reports / Failure Analysis Reports (FARs) in accordance with GAC procedures.
  • Access and interpret R-Card repair data
    , test results, and failure observations to support investigations.
  • Develop and perform troubleshooting tests for both existing and new product lines.
  • Collaborate with Project Engineers to prioritize FARs and support AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations.
  • Interface with GAR engineers to discuss findings, technical progress, and recommendations.
  • Coordinate with the Materials & Processes Lab for component-level evaluations and interpret findings.
  • Support System Integration Lab (SIL) testing
    , engineering-directed testing, and lab analysis.
  • Provide test and inspection instructions to assembly and test technicians in domestic and international facilities.
  • Document and communicate test data, rework actions, and modifications in accordance with aerospace standards.
  • Identify atypical failure modes and recommend trend monitoring as needed.
Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in electrical/electronic testing, troubleshooting, and repair — ideally in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability industries
    .
  • Strong understanding of electronic circuits, oscilloscopes, and data acquisition systems
    .
  • Familiarity with aerospace standards such as ARP
    4754A, DO-160G, and AS9100.
  • Proficient in failure analysis, root cause analysis, and report documentation
    .
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
