Summary

The role of the Field Engineer is dynamic and integral to the successful execution and delivery of solar construction projects. The ideal candidate will assist with all miscellaneous project needs from logistics, inspections, tool management, drawing review, superintendent support, etc. This position requires an agile and proactive approach to support project‑based personnel and craft trades, ensuring technical, material, and administrative tasks align with Qcells' project delivery standards of excellence.

This position reports to the Construction Engineer or another management personnel that the CEO of the Company may designate. This is hybrid, working out different jobsites, working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm local time. Overtime and weekend working hours will be required as needed. This position is expected to travel up to 100%.

Essential Job Function & Responsibilities
  • Regular Project Coordination and Compliance:
    • Assist with the coordination and resolution of engineering requests for project‑based personnel.
    • Manage the procurement of materials specific to trade requirements in line with project timelines.
    • Secure and maintain all necessary permits for assigned tasks throughout the project’s duration.
  • Communication and Documentation:
    • Ensure effective collaboration with team members to achieve desired outcomes.
    • Facilitate communication with internal and external stakeholders, including third‑party engineers and owners.
    • Oversee the creation, compilation, and management of reports and technical documentation.
    • Maintain comprehensive records and control over project documents.
  • Operational Support and Quality Management:
    • Support superintendents through daily timekeeping and reporting of staff, equipment, and material usage.
    • Aid in developing project execution plans, monitoring schedules, and performing quality control checks to ensure compliance with project standards.
    • Conduct regular inspections of ongoing and completed work to uphold quality assurance.
  • Safety Leadership and Environmental Stewardship:
    • Champion safety by leading by example, ensuring that all team members adhere to safety practices and standards.
