Environmental Engineer
Terraphase Engineering Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our team in the Irvine, California office. The Senior Water Resources Engineer will play a critical role in developing and implementing water resource projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and addressing complex water‑related issues.
Role- Lead and manage water resources projects, from planning and design through to construction and completion.
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, analysis, and simulations.
- Develop and implement sustainable water management solutions.
- Provide technical expertise in stormwater management, flood control, water quality, and watershed management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver innovative solutions.
- Prepare technical reports, proposals, and regulatory documents.
- Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in water resources engineering.
- Proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC‑RAS, HEC‑HMS, SWMM, FLO‑2D).
- Strong knowledge of local and federal environmental regulations and permitting processes.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
- Design/AutoCAD skills are a plus.
Pay range: $95,000 – $118,000 USD, based on experience, technical expertise, education, and geographic location.
