Senior ASIC Design Engineer

Syntiant Corp., a leader in the high‑growth AI software and semiconductor solutions space, is looking for an experienced and talented Senior ASIC Design Engineer to take on a critical role with expansive responsibilities in enhancing the Hardware Engineering function within a growing organization.

As a Digital ASIC Design Engineer, you will be a key player in the ASIC R&D team. You will be involved in the complete digital ASIC design flow, from specification and modelling, through implementation and profissional, up to synthesis, silicon bring‑up, and complex failure analysis to ensure smooth ramp‑ups and high‑volume production.

• Architect and implement Syntiant’s next‑generation Neural Digital Processor (NDP) for low‑power edge AI applications.
• Work closely with the Machine Learning (ML) team to analyse, map, and co‑optimise state‑of‑the‑art neural network models to Syntiant’s current and next‑generation NDP engine.
• Create power and performance profiling tools for the NDP engine.
• Lead PPA (Power/Performance/Area) trade‑off analysis to improve design.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑silicon design validation and performance testing.

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering with 5+ years of industry experience (PhD preferred with 3+ years of additional experience).
• Proven track record of 5+ years developing low‑power signal‑processing IPs from architecture to implementation.
• Experience in architecture/design of NPUs and ML network architecture (Dense, CNN, RNN, Transformer, etc.).
• RTL implementation of Digital Signal Processing algorithms using Verilog or System Verilog.
• Implementation of test benches and digital verification methods.
• Experience in PPA (Power/Performance/Area) optimisations.
• Proficient in programming and scripting languages (Python,endlela languages such as C/C++ or Perl).
• Team‑oriented, task‑centred, self‑driven, and persistent.
• Experience with ML frameworks (Tensor Flow, PyTorch, etc.) is a plus.

Compensation: The starting base pay for this role emotionally ranges from $130,000 to $185,000. Individual compensation баланд depends on experience, location, and other factors.
