Star Fish Medical is seeking a Director, Program Strategy to play a key role in defining how new medical device programs are conceived, proposed, and launched.
This role sits at the intersection of engineering, strategy, and client engagement
. You'll work with innovative Med Tech companies and internal Star Fish teams to determine the proper development and commercialization strategy, define Star Fish's proposed program, and coordinate inputs across Business Development, Engineering, and Program Management to ensure new clients' programs are ready to launch.

What You’ll Do- Partner with clients to understand their technology, business goals, and commercialization needs.
- Define product development strategies and proposed programs for complex medical device initiatives.
- Lead proposal and SOW development, translating early conversations into clear, executable plans.
- Bring together input from BD, Engineering, and PM teams to shape well‑aligned program strategies.
- Identify risks, assumptions, and opportunities early to set programs up for success.
- Support smooth handoff from sales into program initiation.
- Represent Star Fish in client meetings and select industry events.
- 10+ years of experience in medical device development, program strategy, or systems engineering.
- Strong understanding of regulated product development in the medtech and Life science industries.
- Proven experience defining development programs and preparing technical proposals.
- Ability to communicate clearly, influence without authority, and work across disciplines.
- Consulting or product development services experience strongly preferred.
- Base Salary: USD 160,000 – 210,000 annually (may vary based on experience, education, skills, and business considerations).
- Annual variable compensation:
Target of 8‑10% of base salary, tied to goal achievement. - Additional compensation:
