The OpportunityGlumac, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Authority to join our world‑class Data Center Commissioning Team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a global leader in the construction space and gain hands‑on experience with Data Center projects while also working across all project types.
Your ImpactCommissioning is a quality assurance process that ensures systems and components are installed and operate as intended. This role will give you a chance to perform hands‑on testing of a range of systems to improve building performance, energy efficiency, reliability, and occupant comfort, with work both in the office and in the field.
Your RoleAs a Data Center Commissioning Authority, you will lead and manage the commissioning process for assigned projects, including conducting field functional testing, creating checklists, documenting test results, maintaining issue logs and reports, supporting project management tasks, following internal procedures and industry standards, ensuring safe work practices, and staying current through professional development. The position is open to candidates near Glumac’s U.S. office locations.
Regular travel to project sites is required, up to 50% travel.
- A Bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering or a related field, or industry‑commensurate experience.
- 8+ years of related industry experience, including 2+ years in data center commissioning, operations or construction.
- PE license or Energy Management certifications (a plus).
- ANSI/ISO accredited commissioning certification (required).
- Strong technical knowledge of data center electrical system design, operation and instrumentation.
- Proficiency in project management: scheduling, budgeting and resource planning.
- Exceptional client‑facing and client‑management skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
- Data center electrical systems commissioning experience.
- Utility/mid‑voltage electrical systems commissioning or testing experience (a plus).
- Infrared thermography certification (a plus).
- Managing QA/QC processes (a plus).
- Ability to work autonomously and in team environments.
- Safety‑first mindset.
- Travel expectation up to 50%.

Salary Range: $110,000 – $200,000 (actual salaries vary by location, experience, role and responsibilities).
