Plumbing Designer

LPA, Inc. is seeking a passionate Plumbing Designer to join our integrated team of architects, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects, and master planners. As a member of our civil engineering team, you will work on a broad range of projects from office, education, and recreation buildings to complex laboratories, health care facilities, and performing arts centers. Our award‑winning projects aim to have a positive and enduring environmental, economic, and social impact.

$64,000.00 / yr - $94,000.00 / yr

• Participate in the integrated design process with other disciplines at LPA
• Assist Engineers, Architects, Project Designers, and Project Managers in executing building design assignments
• Prepare engineering calculations and documentation for schematic design, design development, and construction documents
• Select equipment, systems, and products related to projects
• Review and process construction administration documents
• Attend construction meetings and field visits to further understand detailing and coordination

• Provide mentorship from Managing Directors, Design Directors and other in‑house disciplines on all projects
• Provide career growth opportunities including licensure incentives, professional development grants, and our professional development process
• In‑house management and leadership training opportunities
• Education opportunities including LPA+U and LPA Tech Talks

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field preferred but not required
• 0‑5 years of experience in design of plumbing systems
• Exposure to AutoCAD and Revit is preferred
• Enthusiastic commitment to the multidisciplinary design process and team environment
• Curious and open‑minded to learn
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
