Roles & Responsibilities
  • Serve as the technical sales expert for control valves, actuators, and valve automation systems.
  • Drive new business development and expand accounts through a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Collaborate with customers to specify engineered-to-order valve solutions for severe service applications.
  • Conduct site visits and application reviews to gather process data and build long‑term customer trust.
  • Prepare accurate quotations and collaborate with Inside Sales, Engineering, and Vendor teams.
  • Represent Rust and our manufacturers at industry events, training sessions, and customer audits.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
  • Proven experience in technical sales or applications engineering in the valve or process automation industry.
  • Working knowledge of control valve applications, sizing, and specifications.
  • Ability to read P&IDs, technical drawings, and understand industrial process environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer‑first mindset.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, quoting platforms, and vendor configurators.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering preferred (or equivalent experience).
