Mechanical Engineer

Location: Irvine, California

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating closely with R&D engineering teams to design, develop, and optimize advanced medical devices.
  • Creating and validating test methods to ensure product reliability and safety.
  • Engaging in device prototyping, testing, and validation processes.
  • Utilizing CAD (Solid Works) for designing components and assemblies.
  • Participating in 3D printing and catheter manufacturing processes.
  • Conducting DFMEA assessments and performing product specification testing to meet quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within the medical device industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, especially Solid Works.
  • Experience in creating and validating test methods and device prototyping.
  • Knowledge of DFMEA and product specification testing.
  • Experience with catheter design and manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with early‑stage device development and regulatory standards.
  • Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
