Maritime Project Manager – WSP U.S.

WSP is seeking a Ports and Marine Project Manager to lead maritime projects across the U.S. and internationally. The successful candidate will manage task leaders, schedules, budgets, and client expectations, and provide mentorship to junior staff.
Your Impact- Supervise staff engineers, overseeing calculations and preparing drawings and specifications.
- Prepare technical studies, reports, and review staff work.
- Perform oversight of calculations, cost estimates, drawings, specs, and reports.
- Execute quality assurance checks and manage marine facility projects for a broad client base.
- Coordinate multi‑discipline teams (civil, structural, geotechnical, electrical, mechanical, coastal, fire protection, architecture).
- Draft alternative analysis reports and presentations for repair and capital improvement projects.
- Lead review meetings, client presentations, and design charrettes.
- Engage in business development, marketing, and client relationship management.
- Adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 7+ years of post‑education experience in engineering, with marine, port, and coastal design experience.
- Engineer license required (multi‑state preferred).
- Knowledge of maritime codes (ASCE, COPRI, etc.) and DoD criteria (UFC, UFGC).
- Proficiency in supervising staff in state‑of‑the‑art computer programs.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and compliance with WSP’s health, safety, and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
- Flexibility to accommodate varied schedules and the ability to adapt in a pressured work environment.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card (TSA background check required).
- Master’s Degree in Engineering.
- Experience managing Port Authority, Navy, or Coast Guard projects.
