Job Overview
APTIM seeks a highly motivated Project Manager with prior consulting experience to participate in the development and management of a variety of environmental compliance support projects such as hazardous waste, hazardous materials, above ground storage tanks, spill prevention, waste audits, and stormwater compliance. This role will primarily focus on support of retail, logistics, and hospitality market clients. The successful candidate will manage environmental compliance projects from proposal through execution to invoicing and be able to effectively manage and mentor less experienced staff.
Key Responsibilities /Accountabilities- Responsible for supporting the development of proposal scopes of work and cost estimates using internal cost estimating tools.
- Responsible for the management of projects to ensure successful completion within established schedules and budgets, including:
- Planning and organizing projects
- Communicating with clients and project teams
- Ensuring quality work performance, adherence to safety, and compliance to schedule and budget
- Managing day‑to‑day costs against budgets
- Preparing and approving project invoices
- Responsible for direct interface with clients to communicate scope of work, schedule, and budget.
- Direct the project work of staff on all active projects.
- Cultivate strong relationships with APTIM team members and clients to deliver projects within designated time frames.
- Bachelor's degree in a core science (geology, chemistry), engineering, environmental science, environmental policy, or related area preferred.
- 10 years related experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of project management experience.
- Prior experience or training regarding environmental compliance and related federal and state environmental regulations desirable.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong computer skills required; proficiency in Microsoft applications such as MS Excel, MS Word, SharePoint Online, and ability to learn other software applications.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Willingness to work in the field and travel to complete work.
- Experience managing staff and projects for the commercial client industry.
- Experience managing environmental compliance requirements for the commercial client industry.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000 per year. Compensation depends on several factors including experience, education, key skills, geographic location, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees at APTIM.
