Electro-Mechanical Product Design Engineer with mid-level experience in the Mil-Circular connector industry to join the ITT Cannon Connectors N.A. team.

• Engineering design management of Circular connector platforms with primary focus on defense related products
• Engineering product setup, design, and lifecycle management
• Engineering BOM creation, documentation creation and updates
• Design of new components and assemblies
• Manage and plan multiple activities related to Engineering, Product Management and Operational support
• Multi-functional team member representing Product Engineering
• Product Testing/Qualification support and overview within a Product Evaluation Lab
• Other duties as assigned.

• 
  Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5 years minimum experience in Electro-Mechanical Mil-Circular connector product design
• CREO Parametric 3D Modeling/Documentation experience
• ASME Y14.5 Dimensioning and Tolerancing, including GD&T
• Ability to manage multiple tasks to drive results
• Highly self-motivated and a willingness to make a difference and learn
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with different departments.
• Working knowledge of MS Office products such as Excel, Word etc...
• This position requires visibility to projects that are Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals (NOFORN), including foreign governments, organizations or non-U.S. citizens.

Preferred

• Broad experience in electrical connectors and the Aerospace & Defense industry.
• Experience in Electrical Cabling, Filter connector design and High Speed Data transfer a plus
• Knowledge in the use of high-performance thermoplastics, aluminums and copper alloys and the manufacturing requirements needed to utilize them
• Knowledge in MIL-DTL, Mil-STD and similar industry specifications and requirements.
• Experience in Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), Design for Manufacturability (DfM), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Design of Experiments (DOE), and Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) principles.
• The ability to travel periodically (up to 10%)
