Engineering Technician (4‑Hourly)

In this role, you will partner with Engineering and Internal Teams to support the design, testing, and troubleshooting of prototype electro‑mechanical systems and specialized test equipment. You will report to the Engineering Manager.

• Supporting engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electro‑mechanical systems.
• Assisting in the development and testing of analog, digital, and logic systems.
• Performing testing, checkout, and troubleshooting using schematics, diagrams, layouts, and verbal/written instructions.
• Conducting engineering and experimental tests to collect design data and support research efforts.
• Performing operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
• Assisting in the design and construction of specialized test equipment and determining solutions for malfunctions.

• Associate degree or equivalent technician experience.
• Minimum of 4+ years of related experience.
• Experience with analog, digital, and logic systems.
• Proficiency in reading schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Hands‑on experience with oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform fault isolation on complex systems.

• Experience with experimental design circuitry.
• Familiarity with software used in diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of safety protocols for handling mechanical and electrical hardware.
• Experience working in laboratory or manufacturing environments.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

• Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination.
• Occasionally moves/positions objects up to [Insert] pounds.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for [Insert]% of the time.
• Frequently positions self to perform tasks and positions objects below, at, and above shoulder level.
• Must be able to communicate information and ideas clearly and exchange accurate information.
