We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Spanish Instructor to join our academic team on a part-time basis. The instructor will teach in a hybrid learning environment, combining in-person and online instruction, supporting student mastery across multiple levels of Spanish language study.

• Facilitate assigned courses through live interactive sessions and asynchronous learning activities on Canvas, following comprehensive lesson plans.
• Use the Canvas LMS to evaluate student progress and performance, providing ongoing feedback through formative and summative assessments.
• Promote active engagement and collaboration by incorporating structured discussions, peer‑to‑peer interaction, and group-based learning activities.
• Participate in regular classroom observations and professional development to refine instructional practices.
• Collaborate with colleagues, mentors, and curriculum leaders to align instructional strategies and support student growth.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a field related to Spanish language study.
• Minimum of two years of teaching experience at a U.S. public or private high school, preferably with hybrid or online instruction.
• Strong communication and instructional design skills, with the ability to scaffold complex concepts and provide targeted, constructive feedback.
• Proficiency with online teaching tools such as Canvas and Zoom.

Preferred:

• Experience with classroom observations and reflective teaching practices.
• Active Single Subject Teaching Credential.

• Class hours are scheduled between 8:30 AM and 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Type: Part‑time
Pay: $37.00 per hour
