Position Overview
UC Irvine School of Law invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Professor for Fall 2026, who will teach a 3‑unit Environmental Law survey course, a 3 or 4‑unit Property Law survey course, or both. Salary range $30,000–$90,000 per semester, based on course load, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities- Teach the designated survey courses in Environmental Law and/or Property Law.
- Develop syllabus, course materials, and assignments in line with the university’s standards.
- Engage students in critical discussion and practical application of legal principles.
- Participate in department meetings, committees, and support the school’s mission of public service and scholarly excellence.
- J.D. degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Faculty affiliation at another law school.
- Teaching experience in Environmental Law and/or Property Law.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching.
- Curriculum Vitae (most recent version).
- Cover Letter.
- Reflective Teaching and Mentoring Statement.
- Statement of Research (optional).
