AVAILABLE POSITIONS: JOB CAPTAIN & PROJECT ARCHITECT

Westgroup Designs is growing to meet the needs of our clients! We have a fantastic opportunity for Licensed Architects, (for Project Architect and Project Manager roles) and Senior Job Captain positions, to work on projects in a variety of sectors, including commercial, civic, education, healthcare, multi-family, mixed use and others. Team members most often work on projects from the conceptual and planning phases through construction administration, which provides opportunities for growth, learning and leadership.

* The candidate we're seeking will have at least 5 years in a similar role, with projects in California and the US west coast; experience with local government agency jurisdictions; working in tandem with engineering consultants and producing detailed sets of construction documents using Revit software.

• PA and Senior JC will lead construction document preparation in collaboration with the Project Manager.
• Coordinate documents from internal staff, consultants, and contractors.
• Handle construction administration tasks, including shop drawing and submittal reviews.
• Document code review and compliance.
• Possess knowledge of industry standards, construction methods, and building systems.
• Utilize Revit with high technical proficiency.
• Perform quality control checks on design and construction documents.
• Lead and mentor a team of architectural designers and drafters.
• Stay updated on trends, technologies, and best practices through professional development.

• 5+ years of architectural experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
• California Architectural License for PA and PM
• Proficiency in Revit, with proven work experience in an architectural environment
• Effective communicator and a Team player
• CASp certification is a plus
• LEED and/or WELL accreditations are a plus
• Experience with DSA and/or OSHPD/HCAI are a plus
