Job Overview
The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) is currently recruiting to fill one (1) vacancy for the position of Senior Management Analyst in the Logistics Department. This recruitment will be used to fill the current vacancy and establish an eligibility list for future vacancies.
This position provides high-level analytical, administrative, and strategic support across all divisions within the Logistics Department, including Fleet Services
, Information and Communications Technology (ICT),
Service Center
, and Facilities and Construction (Property Management).
The Senior Management Analyst plays a key role in ensuring strategic initiatives, departmental programs, and projects are delivered within established schedule, scope, budget, and quality objectives
. The incumbent will coordinate across multiple divisions, manage competing priorities, support executive decision-making, and ensure alignment with OCFA’s organizational goals. This position requires strong analytical and organizational skills, experience in project and program coordination, and the ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership, management staff, and internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Under general direction, provides high-level analytical and strategic support within an assigned department; executes departmental and Authority-wide goals and objectives; designs, develops, and implements programs and services provided by the department; performs budgetary, financial, administrative, analytical, personnel, and records management duties; oversees assigned administrative processes, procedures, and programs; prepares policies, budgets, and reports; ensures work quality and adherence to established policies and procedures;
provides highly responsible and complex staff assistance to executive management; performs the technical and complex tasks relative to departmental operations; and performs related work as required.
Receives general direction from assigned management personnel. May exercise direct or general supervision over professional, technical, and/or administrative staff.
Minimum QualificationsEducation
Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in public or business administration, information technology, or a related field.
Experience
Five (5) years of increasingly responsible professional experience in administrative work involving finance, contracts, compliance reporting, management, organization, or other related functions.

Annual Merit Review ProgramAdministrative Managers are eligible for performance salary increases from 2.75% to 5.5% annually based on their work performance and until they reach the top of their salary range. New managers and newly promoted managers must be assigned to their position prior to March 1 during the annual performance rating period (August 1 through July 31) to be eligible for their initial merit review.
Administrative Managers who are at the maximum of their salary range at the time they receive their annual performance evaluation will receive a $500 contribution to their 401(a) deferred compensation account if they received a rating of at least "standard."
Administrative Managers have a choice of medical plans under the CalPERS Health Benefits Program, and receive a monthly cash allotment to be applied toward health care coverage and other benefits.
