Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am-5pm
The AMO Clerk is responsible for remitting payments to Extended Service Contract companies, processing cancellations of products, issuing refunds to consumers or lenders, and performing payables and heavy reconciliation and schedule cleaning.
Responsibilities:
- Follow-up on outstanding claims
- F&I, Ethos, AMO reconciliations and cancellations
- Reserve reconciliations
- Used car purchases and dealer trades
- Maintaining all service and customer records as required by the warrantor
- Accurately coding aftermarket claims and entering into the dealership's automated system
- Processing warranty paperwork to ensure documentation and verifying criteria required by factory or distributor
- Reviewing aftermarket claims and correcting any errors
- Administering warranty identification and disposal
- Maintaining good working relationships with all departments
- Keeping abreast of all factory recalls and announcements
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Full-time availability
- Background working for an automotive dealership required
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles, including debits, credits, and journal entries
- Proficiency in computers:
Microsoft Office, databases, and spreadsheets - Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
- Professional appearance and work ethic
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
