Summary
The Administrator - Vehicle Logistics Procurement position will be responsible for executing day-to-day procurement operations supporting strategic sourcing for transportation and all other business departments at GLOVIS America, Inc. This role administers and provides business support in managing vendor contracts, including negotiation, implementation, and purchasing of goods and services. Duties include reviewing vendor rates, conducting market studies, and supporting supplier relationships for best procurement practices.
Responsibilities- Supplier management and oversight of FV Transportation procurement with external supply chain partners
- Build and nurture relationships with existing and potential suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Proactive management of supplier performance and fidelity of supplier scorecards
- Oversee procurement activity categories to maintain supply continuity
- Review and validate existing supplier contracts for feasibility with internal stakeholders
- Provide market study insights and trends for related spend
- Initiate improvements to procurement processes to drive efficiency and reduce costs
- Participate in cost efficiencies and cost optimization projects; monitor vendor evaluations
- Support compliance requirements and prepare regulatory reports for senior management
- Lead or support development and execution of negotiation plans
- Coordinate with Business Development, Finance, Legal, internal consumers, and leadership to execute contract approvals
- RFx/Proposal Management:
Oversee RFx process for new or recurring demand - Conduct market research and oversee scope definitions, bidder identification, and timelines
- Process and monitor vendor evaluations to ensure procurement decisions are based on accurate information
- Analyze proposals and opportunities with internal stakeholders; select optimum suppliers and favorable terms
- Support all department projects and management requests for information, analysis, and insights
- Engage in inter-departmental projects to align procurement strategies with business operations
- Compensation Range: $68,000 - $74,000 per year (subject to compensation study upon candidate selection)

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong negotiations, procurement, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to coordinate and drive actions with cross-functional groups
- Proficient PC skills:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and database management - Working knowledge of industry and market conditions, and carrier operations
- Working knowledge of contract management practices, data tracking, contracts, and timelines
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust to business needs
- Self-starter with the ability to work with limited direction
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- 5 - 8 years of direct experience in supplier management, logistics, and/or project management
- 6 - 9 years of direct experience preferred
- 8 years of indirect experience required
- Ability to sit at a desk or computer for extended periods
- Repetitive hand use for grasping, writing, and typing
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 20 lbs
- Stand or walk as needed
