The Opportunity

EY’s Global Workplace Procurement Services (WPS) team is responsible for developing strategies and negotiating transactions supporting and benefit ting all member firms with a spend of US $450M annually across our 750+ EY offices and 360,000 people around the globe. Examples of the scope of this strategy development, stakeholder engagement, sourcing and supplier management include outsourced FM services, cleaning, catering and food services, records management, office supplies and furniture, utilities, real estate brokers, project management, furniture and more.

The role of the Assistant Director – Regional Workplace Services Leader is to lead in developing and delivering procurement strategy, sourcing execution, customer engagement and vendor management across the Workplace Services and Real Estate categories primarily in the United States and other geographies as demand requires. This position will form a pivotal role in supporting the growth and influence of the WPS team across the US and is joining at a time of positive change that ensures the right candidate can influence the strategic direction of the category and fellow team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • End‑to‑end delivery of sourcing projects and category management activities for EY business stakeholders, along with commercial management of key suppliers.
  • Act as a trusted business advisor to EY stakeholders, aligning procurement projects with the business’s pipeline and providing exceptional customer services while delivering both brand and quantitative value through cost savings and cost avoidance.
  • Adhere to EY Procurement policy and processes, including collaboration with Legal (GCO), Risk Management and other EY support functions.
  • Provide structured management and accurate progress reporting on all projects.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of procurement projects in support of category strategy/plan and in collaboration with procurement leaders and global/local stakeholders.
  • Lead complex RFPs including strong commercial contractual negotiations, partnering with stakeholders and shared functions such as GCO, Risk Management and Vendor Assurance.
  • Develop strong relationships with key EY business stakeholders and report procurement progress via regular meetings.
  • Continuously deliver procurement and category insights to key stakeholders and educate the procurement process to local EY staff and stakeholders as needed.
  • Maintain solid knowledge of key suppliers and their market position; perform research using current market intelligence resources and partners.
  • Ensure high‑quality execution of sourcing projects in line with the Procurement policy and within agreed timelines.
  • Minimize contractual risks to EY and manage supplier relationships according to EY’s Procurement and Independence policies.
  • Achieve value targets while innovatively developing new cost‑reduction strategies to improve negotiable spend via sourcing and demand management activities, including spend consolidation and supplier rationalization.
  • Work collaboratively with other EY Procurement leads to deliver projects in regions where there may not be category coverage/support, or when sourcing expertise is required.
  • Provide accurate monthly reporting on deals and timely submission of savings forms.
