Temporary Opportunity
SummaryThis position holds a pivotal role in business management, tasked with establishing business objectives across the American region. Key duties include managing business plan development, fostering communication with business units, analyzing performance metrics, managing project schedules, researching industry trends for long‑term opportunities, and facilitating communication with Glovis Korea HQ. The position underscores a deep understanding of diverse business functions and the ability to communicate and coordinate between stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Strategic Planning and Business Management
- Develop and integrate business management principles across all responsibilities to maintain a unified and strategic approach to achieving company objectives
- Spearhead the annual and mid‑to‑long‑term strategic planning processes, encompassing the definition and refinement of the company's vision, mission, and strategic priorities
- Oversee the implementation of business goals, ensuring seamless alignment with the company’s overarching objectives while tracking progress through measurable benchmarks
- Deliver comprehensive strategic management support to drive the effective execution of organizational objectives and initiatives
- Project Monitoring and Evaluation
- Lead feasibility assessments for key initiatives across subsidiaries, providing detailed analyses and actionable recommendations to optimize resource allocation and project success
- Present evaluations and insights to stakeholders, enabling informed decision‑making and strategic alignment of subsidiary activities with organizational objectives
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Manage timelines and deliverables for key projects, enhancing operational efficiency and synergy across subsidiaries
- Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify actionable opportunities for subsidiaries to streamline operations and improve
- Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
- Cultivate strong communication channels to convey the strategic vision and plan to internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives and board members
- Organize and lead regular update meetings to provide insights on strategic initiatives and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring alignment and transparency across all levels of the organization
- Industry Trend Research and Analysis
- Perform comprehensive research on global and regional industry trends, uncovering long‑term business opportunities that align with strategic goals
- Synthesize complex market data into actionable insights, delivering well‑structured summaries and analyses of emerging trends and market dynamics
$30 per hour
Skills- Bilingual English/Korean Preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills Required
- Proficient PC skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Required
- Organizational and Interpersonal skills Required
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- Master's Degree Preferred
- 3 - 5 Years of Direct Experience in Planning, Marketing, Analytic, and/or Logistics Required
- 4 - 7 Years of Direct Experience Preferred
- Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
- Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
- Lift up to 10lbs
- Carry up to 10lbs
- Stand/walk
- Typical office environment with low-level noise exposure
- This position will be located in the Irvine, CA office
- Communication with employees and field partners will be primarily conducted via phone and email
