Bivar is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. This role is centered on core accounting responsibilities—month‑end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance—while also providing support to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. What You’ll DoYou’ll play a key role in maintaining timely and accurate financial records through responsibilities such as:
Core Accounting (Primary Focus)- Prepare and post journal entries across multiple areas of the general ledger.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations, including bank and balance sheet accounts.
- Support month‑end close and assist with financial statement preparation.
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and process depreciation.
- Review inventory transactions and process cycle count adjustments.
- Assist with audit preparation and maintain organized, audit‑ready documentation.
- Generate customer invoices and ensure timely billing.
- Record customer payments and reconcile AR accounts.
- Monitor aging reports and assist with collections outreach.
- Communicate with customers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Support credit review and AR reporting.
- Enter vendor invoices and apply three‑way match.
- Code invoices to appropriate G/L accounts.
- Prepare weekly check runs and process ACH/wire payments.
- Maintain vendor records and assist with annual 1099 preparation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2–4 years of accounting experience with exposure to month‑end close.
- Experience with a Chart of Accounts and accounting software (Net Suite preferred).
- Intermediate Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
