Responsibilities
  • Preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns for businesses.
  • Manage compliance and planning for estate and trust tax engagements.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior staff on tax matters and procedures.
  • Conduct tax research for complex issues and deliver actionable recommendations to clients.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices across all tax projects.
  • Review and approve work papers and filings for accuracy and completeness.
  • Communicate directly with clients to address inquiries and deliver value-added solutions.
Must-Have Skills
  • Active CPA certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in tax preparation and compliance within public accounting.
  • Strong business tax compliance.
  • Expert knowledge of estate or trust taxation as well as individual tax returns.
  • Strong proficiency in tax software and research tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor, and develop junior staff.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience with multi-state filings and complex entity structures.
  • Advanced knowledge of estate planning strategies.
  • Background in process improvement and automation within tax practices.
  • Strong client service orientation and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with tax technology platforms and workflow tools.
