Position Overview
The Accountant will play a key role in supporting the corporate accounting function by ensuring accurate recording of transactions, maintaining supporting documentation, and assisting with financial reporting and reconciliations. This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within the accounting team.
Key Responsibilities- Cash Receipts & Revenue Recording
Accurately record all incoming funds for assigned corporate entities on a daily basis, including wire transfers and deposits, ensuring timely and accurate updates to the general ledger. - Documentation & Record Maintenance
Verify that backup documentation for deposits is properly maintained and stored in designated network folders for audit readiness and easy retrieval. - Data Integration Support
Prepare and process ETL files on a bi-weekly basis, including data from expense management systems (e.g., Navan) and payroll (as applicable). - Accruals & Schedule Updates
Calculate and record revenue, amortization and interest accruals on a monthly basis and update supporting schedules for CPP entities to ensure accurate financial reporting. - Bank Reconciliations
Perform monthly bank reconciliations for all assigned corporate entities, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly to maintain financial integrity. - Tax Compliance
Prepare GP and other assigned corporate entity tax work papers, follow up with CPA firms on preparation. Compile and coordinate signatures for mailing once finalized. - Special Projects & Team Support
Assist with ad-hoc projects and other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
- Knowledge of internal controls and accounting principles.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and reconciliation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with general ledger systems preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal teams and external partners.
