WSH Management is currently recruiting for a Junior Staff Accountant II to join our Corporate Team in Irvine, CA.

About the role:
The Junior Accountant is responsible for performing a range of accounting and clerical tasks related to the payables, receivables, and financial reporting functions. This generally includes receiving, processing, and verifying invoices, tracking and recording purchase orders, and processing payments.
What you’ll do:
- Perform data entry for accounts payable in accounting software as needed (e.g., Yardi, Quick Books).
- Process check runs and handle weekly mailings.
- Upload monthly invoices to company and property management platforms (e.g., Swift Bunny, Happy Co, Solid It, IT Solutions, Yardi).
- Record invoices received from various departments and third parties that are not automatically processed.
- Distribute monthly financial reports as prepared by accounting staff.
- Record and process property tax payments.
- Set up and maintain vendor information in accounting systems (e.g., Real Page).
- Process and record corporate expense reports and related invoices.
- Allocate and record invoices to the corresponding properties in the accounting software.
- Record receipts for invoice allocations, management fees, and bookkeeping fees.
- Handle check deposits across multiple portfolios and corporate accounts.
- Reconcile corporate credit cards and manage associated reports and uploads.
- Submit quarterly Replacement Reserve Requests for applicable properties.
- Download and record loan statement activity.
- Manage the ordering and distribution of deposit stamps and slips.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associates degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred in Accounting, plus two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Competence in personal computer skills, keyboard, internet search, math, Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365 including Word, Excel, Outlook as well as property management software applications.
- Strong writing and proofreading skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse community members, as well as management and local authorities.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License, reliable transportation and current auto insurance coverage as this position may require some driving for company business.
