Overview
Full Time - Mental Health Therapist/Counselor at Mahajan Therapeutics. Sign on bonus offered for eligible applicants for a limited time. Details to be discussed during the interview process. The Mental Health Therapist works under the supervision of the Clinical Director and respective counselor supervisor. The primary role is to conduct individual, group, and family therapies, coordinating various clinical mental health activities.
The counselor will perform diagnostic and assessment procedures, based on qualifications and abilities, and may assume additional duties as assigned.
- Conduct daily individual, group, and/or family counseling sessions with clients.
- Perform Diagnostic, Assessment and Treatment Planning procedures (based on qualifications and abilities) in accordance with ODMH/ODADAS/CARF standards.
- Coordinate various clinical activities.
- Monitor care to ensure compliance with agency policies; report to counselor supervisor and/or Clinical Director when necessary regarding staff treatment of clients.
- Attend regularly scheduled executive committee meetings.
- Attend treatment staffing with a prepared report that accurately represents the client’s response to treatment.
- Serve on committees for Quality Assurance and may be asked to serve as Chairperson of select committees by Leadership and Clinical Director.
- Conduct in-service training as assigned.
- Maintain contact with family members/guardians, referral sources, and outside sources as necessary regarding client treatment activities/progress.
- Maintain documentation relative to caseload and program function.
- Meet with representatives from outside agencies for marketing, survey/audit, or informational purposes as required by position.
- Adequate knowledge and ability to navigate EHR systems.
- Assume additional duties as assigned by Clinical Director or Counseling Supervisor.
- Required Licensure: LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC, LISW-S, LPCC-S, CT, or SWT
- Experience:
Experience working with adolescents, teens and adults with an MH diagnosis, or MH work history is preferred. - Interpersonal

Ability to interact in a pleasant and professional manner with colleagues, physicians, providers, patients, and families to promote teamwork and respect. - Essential Technical/Motor
Skills:
Organizational skills, writing, clear speech, telephone handling, fine dexterity. - Age-Specific Care:
Ability to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served; understand growth and development and interpret data needed for age-specific needs. - Supervision:
This position has no supervisory function. - Proven competency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
