Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility. Client rates reduced by XX8.00/hour.** - # Beds: 5 bed ICU (2 IMC in hallway).

- Nurse:
Patient Ratios: 2-1 for ICU; 3-1 IMC dependent on acuity.

- Common diagnoses:
Resp. failure, Septic shock, detox, DKA, A-fib, Arrhythmia's requiring pacing. Strong in vent management. No pulmonology or dialysis, no cardiac surgery.

- Experience or 'Must have' skills:
Min. 2 years ICU in ICU setting. Must be comfortable floating to MS-Tele. Prefer someone with Critical Access or Trauma Level 3 or 4 experience, or used to more rural setting. Limited resources onsite (No IV team, RT oversees the entire hospital, etc.).

- Are RNs required to titrate drips?:
Yes.

- Common titratable &/or set rate drips:
Levophed, propofol, cardizem, esmolol, insulin.

- Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?:
Yes- take a full assignment.

- Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios:
No.

- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house:
Yes until 6pm daily, then we use ICU Tele Physicians coverage at night.

- RT in ICU 24/7:
Not housed in ICU, but available 24/7.

- RT Equipment:
Vents, Cpap, Bipap, heated high flow. RN must be comfortable troubleshooting and assisting as needed.

- Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?:
Yes from  daily, RN verifies strips. Watch the MS unit strips as well, and sign off on those (will train if needed).

- Shifts & Scheduling: 12 hour shifts  & ) can't guarantee blocking (consider longer blocks of 6 shifts, when able), but do try to accommodate self scheduling.

- Weekend Requirements:
Yes, rotation EOW, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

- Holiday Requirements:
Yes, 2/3 holidays.

- Is there a call or standby requirement?:
Yes- opportunity/ potential to be placed on call/ standby.

- Floating Requirements:
Absolutely must be able to float to Med/Surg, considerate of ratios but may be asked to take ratios of 1:3-6.

- Scrub Color/Dress Code:
Solid professional, no specific color.

- Unit/Department specific orientation:
Yes, computer education day 1 for 8 hrs. and rest of 4 hrs will shadow, day 2 12 hour shift of orientation, day 3 on their own.
