Certifications
Required:
BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
Local Rate:
Candidates living within 80 miles (rate reduced by $8/hr)
Department Overview:
Trauma Level: IV (No STEMI or Stroke receiving – patients transferred out)
Beds: 14 total | Trauma Bays: 2
Fast Track:
Yes (3 rooms)
Triage:
Separate area (2 rooms); travelers may triage after policy review
Psych Rooms:
Yes (flexible use)
Security:
Not in-house 24/7 (maintenance + local PD/911 support)
Daily Volume: ~40–60 patients
Staffing & Ratios:
Ratios: 1:3–4 days; higher at night (after 3a only 2 RNs until 7a)
ED Physician on-site 24/7 + mid-levels
Charge RN takes assignment
Support staff: CNAs, Medics, LPNs (task-based)
RT in-house 24/7 (ABGs, treatments, EKG support)
Phlebotomy draws labs 24/7
Equipment & Diagnostics:
Central monitoring (RNs read own strips)
X-ray nearby; CT adjacent to ER
Experience
Required:
Minimum 2 years ED experience
First-time travelers and duos accepted
Scheduling:
7, 10, and 12-hour shifts (variable start times)
Manager-made schedule
Every other weekend (Sat/Sun)
Holidays:
Typically every other; 2 of 3 winter holidays preferred
No call; voluntary low-census time without pay
Floating:
Inpatient units as helping hands only
Scrubs:
Any solid color, clean & professional
Orientation:
Computer-based training + 2 days unit orientation
Important Note:
Must disclose prior Marshfield employment
If previously employed, must be separated for 6+ months before submission
All clinicians must clock in/out at the facility
