Job Overview
Systems Control is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer Co-op to become a part of our Integrated Substation Solutions team - January-May 2026. As a Mechanical Design Engineer Co-op, you will support Design, Manufacturing, and Engineering Teams in our world‑class facility. Every day at Hubbell is different and you’ll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you’ll make a difference by:
- Work with Project Management and Drafting to design products.
- Create standard drawings.
- Assist in design verification testing, documentation, and reporting.
- Provide manufacturing support for specific customers and/or production areas.
- Assist in implementing design changes and communicate requirements to all impacted groups.
- Identify potential improvements to products.
- Pursing a B.S Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field. Completed 4+ Semesters preferred.
- Experience using 3D modeling software (Creo preferred), 2D AutoCAD and MS Office Suite
- Knowledgeable in Engineering Mechanics, Strengths of Materials, Welding, and other manufacturing processes
- Must be a team player, creative, and have strong hands on mechanical knowledge
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Proficient written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects at one time
