Our Systems Control location in Iron Mountain, MI is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor to manage a diverse team supporting engineering and production of our manufactured products.
- Provide daily leadership to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost reduction initiatives are met
- Lead manufacturing improvements including fixtures, tools, machine utilization, and layout redesign
- Promote participation in continuous improvement processes such as "My Ideas", coaching, problem-solving, and Lean initiatives to reduce waste and costs
- Guide the team towards strategic goals related to Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Capital Expenditure
- Research and justify new capital equipment to support manufacturing
- Lead and participate in Kaizen activities and problem-solving using A3 thinking
- Drive team performance to improve results and implement cost reduction strategies
- Develop and coach team members, onboard new employees, and foster an engaged workforce
- Collaborate with production, design, and project management to align on projects and priorities
- B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
- At least five years of experience in engineering or operations management in a similar industry
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and capital equipment analysis
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Creo (preferred)
