Responsibilities
- Administer and support GN desktop environments, ensuring reliability, security, and performance.
- Manage operating system deployment, image creation, software packaging, and patch distribution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex desktop-related technical issues escalated from the Service Desk.
- Maintain endpoint management tools such as Intune, MECM, or Group Policy.
- Develop and maintain scripts, automation routines, and configuration baselines.
- Implement endpoint security practices and collaborate with cybersecurity teams.
- Maintain detailed documentation and contribute to standard operating procedures.
- Participate in projects involving workstation upgrades, migrations, or roll‑outs.
- Provide mentorship to junior technicians and support staff.
- Minimum 3–5+ years of progressive experience in desktop engineering, endpoint management, or system administration.
- Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Systems, or related field.
- Certifications in Microsoft technologies (MD-100/MD-101, MCSA/MCSE, or Modern Desktop Administrator Associate) – preferred.
- Experience with endpoint management platforms such as Intune, SCCM/MECM, or VMware Workspace ONE.
- ITIL Foundation certification – an asset.
- Strong knowledge of Windows desktop OS, device imaging, software deployment, group policies, and endpoint security controls.
- Experience managing desktop infrastructure in enterprise‑scale environments.
- Ability to diagnose complex technical issues related to operating systems, drivers, profiles, and authentication.
- Experience developing automation scripts (Power Shell preferred).
- Familiarity with M365 services, user identity management, and Azure AD/Entra .
- Strong understanding of endpoint hardening, patching, compliance, and vulnerability management.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and support Tier 2–3 escalations.
