We are currently seeking a reliable and safety-focused Road Sweeper Operator (MR Driver) to join a local government department located in Ipswich. This role is suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining clean public spaces, and is confident operating medium rigid vehicles and equipment.

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday, 1:00pm – 10:00pm (Afternoon Shift)

• Operate road sweeper vehicles and associated equipment on a daily basis
• Collect and ensure proper disposal of litter and debris
• Sweep and clean gutters, gully traps, and litter racks
• Perform basic maintenance on the assigned vehicle, including fitting and replacing gutter brooms
• Undertake general duties within waste management facilities (within competency and training)
• Maintain compliance with all workplace health and safety procedures

• Current Medium Rigid (MR) Driver’s Licence (essential)
• Experience operating road sweepers or similar role highly desirable (not essential)
• An appropriate level of physical fitness for the work being performed.
• Strong reliability, work ethic and commitment to safety with proven ability to follow directions and work as part of a team (supported by references).

This role is required up to the 24/04/2026 with the possiblity of extension.
