Senior Social Worker | North Social Care Team

We are looking for Senior Social Workers to join our North East Social Care Team in Ipswich, Suffolk. Paying up to £40.50 per hour. Hybrid working!

We are seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Ipswich North East Social Care Team, based in Ipswich. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement with a requirement to attend the office at least three days per week.

You will play a key role in supporting high-quality frontline practice, managing complex cases, and providing oversight and guidance to less experienced staff, working closely with the Team Manager.

Senior SW in a social care team, dealing with assessments, Child in Need and Child Protection. The role is a mix of duty and assessment work alongside longer-term work.

• Undertake Section 17 (Child in Need) and Section 47 (Child Protection) assessments
• Develop and review Child in Need (CIN) plans and Child Protection (CP) plans
• Manage complex and high-risk cases to ensure effective safeguarding outcomes
• Support the Team Manager with staff supervision, mentoring, and case oversight
• Contribute to maintaining high professional standards and quality assurance within the team
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies and professionals
