Prime Appointments are currently recruiting for an experienced Diesel Field Service Techinican to join a well-established and growing business within the Critical Power sector working on Diesel Generators. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Technician looking for long-term stability, strong earning potential and varied work across the South and East of England.

The role is split approximately 75% field-based and 25% workshop-based, offering a good balance between customer site work and in-house support.

The Role

• Service, maintain and repair diesel generators and associated equipment
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using diagnostic software
• Carry out load bank testing and system performance checks
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new generator systems
• Attend breakdown call-outs on a rota basis
• Complete service documentation accurately and ensure compliance with industry standards

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience installing, servicing and maintaining diesel generators
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding ability
• Knowledge of generator control systems (desirable)
• Confident using laptops and diagnostic software
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
