Overview

Responsibilities- Assist customers and represent the RAC with professionalism on location (driveways, client sites, etc.).
- Service, diagnose, repair, and perform checks as required, with responsibility for stock management and timely reporting.
- Engage in proactive customer conversations and provide clear, actionable advice on vehicle maintenance.
- Think on your feet and make the right call for each customer in a dynamic environment.
- Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
- At least 3 years' hands-on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles.
- Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
- Location:
Ipswich, Suffolk. - Salary: up to £50,000 per annum; base salary £38,625 with on-target earnings up to £50,000.
- Working pattern:
Full time, 40 hours per week, core hours 8:30am–5:00pm, 1 in 4 Saturdays; guaranteed overtime option to increase base salary to £44,385, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities. - Role type: RAC Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair division; you’ll work with your own RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools, and diagnostic kit provided.
