CWA

A Social Impact Executive position has become available in the Civil Works Alliance (CWA) as we deliver Sizewell C – a landmark project set to generate low‑carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and secure the UK’s energy future for generations to come. This is your opportunity to be part of a project that is not only shaping the nation’s infrastructure, but also creating meaningful, measurable benefits for local communities.

As Social Impact Executive, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our social impact commitments are brought to life. Working closely with the Social Impact Manager, Advisor, and a range of external stakeholders, you will help design and implement initiatives that make a genuine difference in skills development, education, employment, community wellbeing, and green spaces.

In This Role, You Will
  • Proactively engage with local schools, colleges, youth organisations, charities and community groups to raise awareness of the CWA, Sizewell C, and career opportunities in the nuclear and construction sectors.
  • Build and nurture positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating and delivering outreach events, volunteering days, and community engagement activities.
  • Help develop engaging promotional materials that showcase our social impact initiatives.
  • Work directly with young people at events, gathering meaningful feedback to inform future campaigns.
  • Provide accurate and timely information on apprenticeships and ongoing community initiatives, acting as a trusted point of contact for young people.
  • Bring fresh, innovative ideas to ensure our activities are relevant and impactful, adapting content based on feedback and emerging trends.
  • Support the team with event administration, record-keeping, and the collection and analysis of feedback.
  • Contribute to the reporting of social impact activities, tracking progress against objectives and regional priorities.
To Be Successful, You Will Bring
  • A strong understanding of social impact principles and awareness of regional demographics.
  • Proven experience collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders, including local authorities, education providers, and the voluntary sector.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Confidence in writing, presenting, and working independently.
  • Experience delivering social impact or community engagement programmes, with a track record of monitoring and evaluating outcomes.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within Norfolk and Suffolk.
  • It would be an advantage if you have experience with infrastructure projects, familiarity with social impact measurement models, or skills in digital tools for data reporting.

We are committed to building an inclusive team that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve. If you are passionate about making a real difference and want to help shape the legacy of one of the UK’s most important infrastructure projects, we invite you to click the following link to apply.
