Position: Team Vicar | Forest Heath Team Ministry (House for Duty - Sunday + 2 days)

Set in the beautiful Suffolk countryside, in the more urban environment of Beck Row, the Forest Heath Team is a vibrant and exciting place to minister. We are now ready to welcome a new colleague to help us develop our pastoral care and outreach to these lovely communities.

We Are Seeking a Gifted Priest Who Will Be
  • A person of deep faith and spirituality able to relate the faith to all ages.
  • A person with a heart for rural ministry who is also able to work in a more urban environment.
  • A person who relates well to people across the age range, especially children and young people, and who is committed to the pastoral care of all.
  • A person who is happy and willing to be involved in the life of our communities, joining with the existing Lightwave projects in helping the church become more accessible and encouraging growth.
  • A good communicator who can work cooperatively within the Forest Heath Team as well as leading in their own parishes.
  • A person who will respect the diversity of the individual parishes while promoting their cooperation.

We are able to offer warm and friendly congregations who are excited to welcome their new Priest in a spirit of friendship. You will enjoy the strong support of experienced Team clergy, both in post and retired, and laity willing to assist with services and other duties across the group.

There is also the exciting challenge of living in an area of East Anglia enriched by the presence of two very large United States Air Force bases with thousands of service personnel and families.

The diocese is deeply committed to the well‑being of its clergy. It seeks to ensure that its clergy maintain a realistic and healthy work/life balance and are given the opportunities and resources to develop further their own vocations and ministries.
