Production Manager – Bury St Edmunds – £40‑45k (DOE)

We are recruiting on behalf of a client based on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds who are seeking a Production Manager to join their team. This business has ambitious plans for growth, and the role is perfect for someone who wants to make a difference and leave their mark.

Salary: £40‑45k (DOE)
Hours: Monday – Friday (08:00–17:00)
Holiday: 23 days + Bank Holidays

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for a range of Production tasks.
  • Oversee the day‑to‑day workload of Production Operations, ensuring efficiency and quality are maximised.
  • Ensure Health & Safety standards are upheld and maintained in line with regulatory requirements, updating risk assessments as needed.
  • Identify opportunities where process improvements can be made.
  • Monitor inventory levels.
  • Train, develop and mentor the team, ensuring employee reviews and training are completed to improve the team’s skills.
  • Collaborate with HR on recruitment to maintain suitable staffing levels.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Previous experience in a Production Management role.
  • Cool, calm and level‑headed with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.
  • Strong passion for continuous improvement with the ability to think creatively about solutions.
  • Previous experience in Lean Manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
