East Anglias Childrens Hospices (EACH) is seeking an experienced and ambitious Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships to lead and grow our high-value fundraising at a pivotal point in the organisations development.
This is a rare opportunity to take on a senior philanthropy role with real influence, autonomy and scope, combining strong core income delivery, with the chance to lead a major capital expansion appeal for The Treehouse Hospice in Ipswich which will significantly enhance the services we can provide to children, young people and their families.
Reporting into the Director of Fundraising, this senior leadership role within our Fundraising team, responsible for delivering around £3 million in income annually.
Managing and inspiring a talented team, develop innovative strategies, and personally cultivate relationships that result in transformational gifts.
Main duties of the job- Lead and implement the Philanthropy & Partnerships strategy to achieve ambitious income targets.
- Build and steward long-term relationships with major donors, corporate partners, and trusts.
- Manage and empower a multi-disciplinary team, fostering collaboration and exceptional donor stewardship.
- Drive major appeals and oversee budgets to ensure effective allocation and performance.
- Champion EACHs values and maintain strong links between fundraising and care teams.

Job responsibilities- Deliver the P&P fundraising strategy, aligned with the overall Fundraising strategy to achieve annual budget of £3.0m.
- Lead and manage the P&P team to ensure the successful day to day management and development of the team and the successful implementation of the Fundraising strategy (including performance management, line management and staff development).
- Ensure effective operational plans are developed for each P&P area to deliver the aims and objectives of the overall strategy.
- Plan and manage direct fundraising activity appropriate to a Head of role, e.g. stewardship of trusts and major donors in order to drive donor engagement and increase contributions.
- Plan and deliver major appeals as required.
- Manage income and expenditure budgets to ensure the effective allocation and tracking of fundraising revenue.
- Lead and maintain a culture of high standards of donor care to encourage long-term engagement and participation.
- Ensure all fundraising adheres to legal requirements and the Code of Fundraising Practice set by the Fundraising Regulator.
- Demonstrate leadership, management and personal behaviours that are in line with EACH values.
- Work closely with the EACH service managers, attending the monthly ESM, ensuring good channels of communication between Care and Fundraising are maintained. When necessary help to resolve issues between the different teams.
- Keep up-to-date on best practice within the charity sector with a focus on trusts and major supporters, highlighting trends and insight that could inform planning and support the team with the development of new ideas and practices.
