The role

As a Cleaner, you’ll help ensure our multi-level accommodation, offices, and communal areas remain clean, hygienic and inviting. Your work will directly support the wellbeing and comfort of everyone who uses our facilities.

What You’ll Do
  • Create welcoming, hygienic spaces by keeping communal areas, offices, bathrooms, kitchens and corridors clean, tidy and inviting.
  • Take pride in specialist cleaning tasks, including regular deep cleans, descaling, and maintaining high standards throughout the building.
  • Help keep the environment safe and clutter‑free by managing waste, emptying bins, and ensuring fire escapes and walkways remain clear.
  • Enhance the look and feel of our spaces by cleaning windows, furniture, fixtures and equipment to a high standard.
  • Stay organised and proactive by keeping accurate cleaning records and monitoring stock levels so materials are always available.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive environment by following safeguarding, health & safety and data protection procedures, and taking part in ongoing training.
You’ll be a great fit if you have
  • Experience in general building cleaning — ideally in residential or multi-use settings
  • A non‑judgemental, respectful approach when working around young people
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety, including COSHH regulations
  • Good time management and attention to detail
  • A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn

Safer Recruitment

In line with safer recruitment processes, successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check, facilitated and paid for by YMCA Trinity Group.

Days and hours

This role is contracted for 26 hours per week.

Monday – Thursday: 9:30am–2:00pm,

Friday: 8:00am–4:30pm

Salary and Benefits

Salary is £16,507.92 per annum

Additional benefits we offer include.

  • 5 weeks holiday & public holiday allowance (Pro rata for part time staff)
