This is a level 3 Financial Services Administrator Apprenticeship programme. The closing date for applications is the 22nd February 2026.

We will be running an assessment centre on 25th March 2026 and the start date for this apprenticeship will be 21st September 2026. Please ensure you are available for these dates before application.

The Middle Office Operations team are responsible for ensuring that operational tasks undertaken by Shared Services / Global Operations are managed appropriately, provide support to Underwriting and ensure that the administrative processes for the end-to-end policy lifecycle are run efficiently and at a high quality to serve internal and external clients.

The teams support the design and delivery of strategic change initiatives affecting the Underwriting business. Example projects include the operational design strategy for Brexit, the design and execution of an offshore service centre move between countries and supporting the data and system work streams for a new legal entity creation.

You will be based in either our Ipswich office, however, we are excited to have implemented our Smart Working initiative offering a hybrid way of working, combining both remote and office working.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

• Support liaising with the Middle Office team to resolve queries related to Ceded Re and assist in maintaining clear communication between departments.
• Assist claims teams in resolving queries from Ceded Reinsurance
• Collaborate with Ceded Reinsurance to an work towards reducing balances on Captive and Facultative reinsurance programs with support from management
• Help respond to broker inquiries concerning reinsurance premiums and claims.
• Assist with the setup and maintenance of reinsurance contracts within the systems.
• Support the recovery process of claims processed on our system.
• Contribute to the preparation of reports and summaries related to claim reinsurance balances.
• Support process improvement initiatives by documenting workflows and suggesting efficiencies where applicable.

• Computer literate – experience using Microsoft Outlook, Excel (including formulas & pivots), Word, PowerPoint and Teams would be advantageous
• Experience of being a proactive individual with an enthusiasm to deliver change
• Effective and professional communicator with proven experience in stakeholder management
• Accurate and exceptional attention to detail
• Proactive organisational skills and ability to plan and prioritise their own work
• Excellent work ethic

Skills and Abilities:

• Microsoft Excel LOOKUPS & IF formulas
• System data entry experience and process experience
• Previous project related experience
• Previous insurance experience from an administration or operational support perspective
• Knowledge of underwriting processes
