The Role

In 2025, the Willis Re's Client Servicing and Operations (CS&O) function was formed, which included hiring of key resources, implementing key systems for processing business, documenting key processes and controls, and their subsequent implementation. A key objective for 2026 is to identify and deliver improvements to those processes, leveraging automation, AI and other technology.

This role is business facing with exposure to treaty business operational processes for placing and servicing Treaty Reinsurance, and at times technology and the underlying mechanics of systems and architecture.

The role will require not just understanding of the business requirements but also a pragmatic and "outside of the box" thought process to ensure all relevant options are considered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Client Services and Operations to identify high-impact automation opportunities, translating complex business needs into scalable technical specifications.
  • Lead collaborative workshops with SMEs take current "As-Is" processes and map optimised "To-Be" automated states, focusing on reducing repetitive manual activity and human error.
  • Document business requirements using appropriate software to fulfil:
    • Process Design "To-Be"
    • Business Requirements Documents
    • User story and acceptance criteria definition
    • Data analysis and transformation mapping
  • Support business stakeholders with potential options for consideration, capturing and resolving queries relating to technology implementations and defined processes.
  • Validating business requirements have been met by systems and processes along side supporting business UAT.
  • Manage the end-to-end logic for data migration and transformation, ensuring that automated inputs/outputs remain accurate across integrated platforms.
Required Experience
  • London Market reinsurance and or insurance.
  • Extensive experience as a Business Analyst ideally within the (Re) insurance industry.
  • Familiarity of documenting requirement in Azure Dev Ops, JIRA or similar.
  • Experience with Visio or alternative process mapping software.
  • Using key Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Desired Experience
  • Eclipse Broking software.
  • London Market Broking operations.
  • Treaty Reinsurance.
  • Working with 3rd party vendors such as AI and automation firms to deliver process improvements.
Skills
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Education
  • Educated to A level standard or equivalent.
Certifications
  • Relevant industry certifications are an advantage but not essential.
