Executive Chef Manager - Independent Education Catering
We are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious independent education client for an experienced Executive Chef Manager to lead a high‑volume, fresh food catering operation.
The site caters for approximately 500 pupils and staff daily, delivering breakfast, lunch, supper, and a varied programme of internal and external hospitality. This is a 7‑day, 52‑week operation, working 5 days out of 7, with free onsite parking.
The RoleYou will lead the onsite catering team and work closely with the Operations Manager to deliver exceptional food quality, service standards, and financial performance. This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring strong culinary, people, and commercial skills.
Key Responsibilities- Lead all day‑to‑day catering and hospitality operations
- Deliver high‑quality, age‑appropriate food with full dietary compliance
- Manage budgets and produce P&L reporting
- Develop the food offer in line with client expectations and market trends
- Train, motivate, and develop the catering team
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, safeguarding, and company standards
- Proven experience in a similar senior catering or chef management role
- Hands‑on leader with strong people management skills
Commercially aware with budget management experience - Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Recognised cooking qualification and Level 3 Food Hygiene
