Practice Nurse

About the Role

The Derby Road Practice in Ipswich are looking to welcome an enthusiastic and flexible practice nurse to our fantastic team. This role is offered on a part-time basis for 14 hours per week, however this may be negotiable for the right candidate. Flexibility is crucial to accommodate training, holidays and occasional sickness.

The successful applicant will provide nursing services to patients on the practice list, including assessment, advice within the professional competence of the post holder, screening and treatment. Extra training will be provided for new duties undertaken.

• Treatment room duties
• Immunisations including childhood immunisations
• Cervical smears
• Contraception advice and pill checks
• Spriometry
• Wound dressing and reviews

To be considered for this position, you will need the following.

• Current NMC registration and pin
• Ability to deal with patients sensitively
• Calm outlook in a busy workplace
• Positive disposition

• Knowledge of Systm One
• Ability to work in a changing environment
