We are seeking an outstanding Matron to provide clinical and professional leadership across our Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team and Mental Health Liaison Team in Ipswich. This is a pivotal senior role, offering the opportunity to shape high quality, mental health care for people experiencing acute mental health distress across community and acute hospital settings.

Main duties of the job

As Clinical Matron, you will be responsible for the clinical leadership, quality, safety and operational delivery of both services, ensuring care is compassionate, timely and aligned with national and local priorities. You will work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues, acute trust partners, social care and voluntary sector organisations to deliver seamless, patient-centred care.

You will act as a visible clinical leader, supporting staff wellbeing, professional development and a culture of continuous improvement.

Your key responsibilities will be

  • To provide senior clinical and professional leadership across the Crisis and Mental Health Liaison Teams
  • Ensure delivery of safe, effective, and high quality mental health care in line with best practice and national guidance
  • Lead on clinical governance, quality improvement, and risk management
  • Oversee staffing, workforce development, supervision and performance management
  • Work collaboratively with acute hospitals, community services, commissioners and partner agencies
  • Lead service development initiatives to improve access, outcomes and patient experience
  • Act as a role model for compassionate, recovery focused and trauma informed care

Person Specification Qualifications
  • Diploma level/Degree in relevant health/social care profession, eg RMN, RLDN OT, Social Worker.
  • Current relevant registration with the NMC or HCPC

£55,690 to £62,682 a yeargross per annum (pro rata).
