Buttons Recruitment are looking for experienced Vulnerable Adults Support Workers to join our teams, who bring skill, kindness, and a proper dose of heart to the people who need it most. What Makes You Right for This Role
You’re not just experienced — you’re the kind of person families and service users feel safe and reassured around.
You must have:
* Minimum 6 months’ UK care or support work experience
* Right to Work in the UK
* An honest, open, and dependable nature
* A kind, caring, and patient approach
* A naturally cheerful, positive attitude
* Good spoken and written communication skills
* A genuine desire to make a difference to vulnerable adults
* Commitment to delivering dignified, person-centred, independence-focused support
* Understanding of Health & Safety and safeguarding in care/support settings
Helpful (but not essential):
* Being a driver (many people we support live in the community)
* Experience with learning disabilities, autism, mental health, or dementia
* Comfortable using electronic devices for care notes and support plans
You’ll also need (we can help with this):
* Enhanced Adult & Child DBS
* References and employment history checks in line with safer recruitment guidelines

What You’ll Be Doing
No two days are the same — because no two people are the same.
You’ll be supporting vulnerable adults with a range of physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health needs, and age-related conditions to live as independently and safely as possible — either in their own homes or supported living environments.
Your role may include:
* Supporting with personal care (where required)
* Helping with daily living tasks such as dressing, meal preparation, and household activities
* Promoting independence, choice, and confidence
* Supporting people to access the community, appointments, and social activities
* Medication prompting or support (where required)
* Providing 1:1 support, including dementia or mental health support
* Keeping living environments safe, clean, and comfortable
* Ensuring every person you support feels valued, respected, and hear You’re not just helping people live — you’re helping them live well, on their terms.
