Overview

Responsibilities
  • Actively participate as a full member of the team, assisting with the smooth running of the ward by managing the reception and administrative functions in a timely, effective and efficient way alongside Doctors, Nurses and Healthcare Assistants.
  • Manage the reception and administrative functions.
  • Assist with admission and discharge of patients on Trust computer systems, filing notes, answering phones, liaising with multidisciplinary teams and departments across the trust, and welcoming visitors to our ward.
Qualifications
  • Friendly manner, hard working, and highly motivated with good customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, professional manner, and commitment to providing high quality care.
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritise workload, and work well within a team.
  • Effective communication with members of the public, both face‑to‑face and over the phone.
  • Beneficial to have NHS experience and possess excellent IT and clerical skills.

Working Hours

Working days are Monday to Friday, with some weekend and bank holiday working.
