Overview
East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) is seeking an experienced, compassionate Matron to provide expert clinical leadership in paediatric palliative and end‑of‑life care for babies, children and young people (0–18) with life‑limiting conditions.
This is a pivotal and highly rewarding role at the heart of our Care Directorate. Working closely with the multidisciplinary team

, and drive forward service development across The Treehouse hospice.
📍The Treehouse Hospice, Ipswich, IP3 8NS
📌 Full time, 37.5 hours per week (with some evenings and weekends required, and hybrid working available)
What we are looking for- Current UK NMC Registered Nurse specialising in Children's Nursing Experience in paediatric palliative care and clinical leadership.
- Advanced clinical practice skills and independent prescribing qualification (or willingness to work towards).
- Strong communication, decision-making and mentoring skills.
- Ability to work flexibly, including participation in the on-call rota when required.
- Support and oversee the delivery of advanced clinical assessment, complex symptom management, and evidence-based prescribing.
- Provide visible leadership and act as an expert adviser across hospice, community, and hospital settings.
- Drive quality improvement, clinical governance and CQC readiness.
- Support and mentor nursing teams, fostering professional development and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and regional networks to enhance care pathways.
